EQIUINOX LINEA line of boards designed for riders to get the same edge hold, snap and release on their toeside edge as their heelside rail. Butter day, you and your friends cranking some tunes, full tank of gas, fat sacs in all the right places, sessioning the wake on both sides equally as well. This is the true State of wakeboarding. From the inception of the first Hyperlite board till now, Mike Ferraro has been at the pulse of our board evolution. His knowledge as the top coach in the business and the co-designer of some of our most successful shapes has now carried over into his first series from every aspect of the ride. This series is the result of Mike's 15 years of understanding sideways hydrodynamics. Several years in the making and more prototypes than any other shape, we created a deck that allows riders to carry a fast edge hold with a quick release on their heelside transition and a stronger rail standing higher up the wake on a toeside cut. When you board toeside your hips are crossed up making it harder to hold the board's direction down the lake. Here are the design differences in this first-of-its-kind asymmetrical shape so a rider can hold a line with less lean and hip rotation: Toeside Rail Deeper molded-in fin gives a rider more bite for additional stability generating a stronger edge hold all the way up the transition. .25" wider asymmetric profile with more of a squared off tip/tail. This allows the board to rise higher up the wake and the added surface area gives a rider more snap even at a slower speed. More exaggerated step down rail grips additional water when on edge complimenting the deeper fins for a stronger hold. Heelside Rail Narrower profile with additional sidecut so the board can create more speed. 1.8" wide vented channel. Additional water flow makes for a quicker ride. Shallower molded-in fin lets the board release quicker off the wake. |
