Manufacturing (MFG) propertiesLayered Glass: Hyperlite's biaxial glass isn't woven, which potentially could affect the structural properties over time. This stacked fiberglass is available in 4 different weights varying each decks lay up depending on the total surface area or flex characteristics of the board; one of the reasons why we offer a limited lifetime warranty on every board. Monocoque Construction: Every wakeboard is made with a bottom layer of fiberglass and a top layer - the two meet at the flash line. In years previous, this has been a board's weak point. Now our bottom layer wraps around the board and bonds with the top, creating a more durable board on side impacts and reducing the risk of de-lamination. Every Hyperlite board uses this method producing a torsionally stronger ride. Pure Base: In 1998 we developed a plastic based material reducing the friction with the water for a greater feel and a faster overall glide. Available on Motive, Movement, Eden, Voyager, Coex, Broadcast and Landlock decks. Nylon Base: Based off the speed of our Pure Base with the durability to take on any obstacles. Available on the Parks, 3DS, Premier, and Murray Dio2 series. Also on all Byerly, Era, State, Syn, Eden, Roam, Catayst, and Byerly boards. Clear Nylon Base: Made out of the same long-lasting nylon material, but this material allows the wood to show through. Available on all DNA boards. |
